Les co-organisateurs du Congr\u00e8s sont l\u2019Arctic Ceramic Center (ACC). Cet \u00e9v\u00e8nement biennal est con\u00e7u comme un espace de rencontre, d\u2019\u00e9tude et de d\u00e9bat entre les membres de l\u2019Acad\u00e9mie et diff\u00e9rents acteurs de la sc\u00e8ne c\u00e9ramique locale et internationale. Ce Congr\u00e8s aura pour th\u00e8me \u00a0\u00bb On the Edge\u00a0\u00bb.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Les principales activit\u00e9s auront lieu \u00e0\u00a0Korundi, le si\u00e8ge du Congr\u00e8s.\u00a0Korundi est situ\u00e9 dans la ville de Rovaniemi, une ville en grande partie\u00a0con\u00e7ue par l\u2019architecte finnois Alvar Aalto.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Dans le cadre du programme du Congr\u00e8s, une visite de Posio, un village c\u00e9ramique incontestablement septentrional, sera organis\u00e9e. \u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Les conf\u00e9rences et les expositions seront\u00a0li\u00e9es au th\u00e8me \u00ab\u00a0On the Edge\u00a0\u00bb. Les Arawaks ont laiss\u00e9 des vases \u00e0 \u00ab\u00a0ouicou\u00a0\u00bb, des br\u00fble-parfums et autres tessons dont des fragments chiffrent d\u00e9sormais le sol. La forme de ces objets t\u00e9moigne d\u2019une beaut\u00e9 insouciante de l\u2019opposition du gratuit et de l\u2019utile comme du divorce de l\u2019art et de l\u2019artisanat. D\u2019ailleurs, l\u2019\u0153il qui guette la cuisson est indissolublement celui du technicien qui sait \u00e9viter que la poterie se fende et celui du coloriste qui vise le brun envelopp\u00e9 dans le rouge brique de l\u2019argile fra\u00eeche. On dirait que la g\u00e9ologie et l\u2019histoire ont conspir\u00e9 pour faire de la Martinique un berceau de la c\u00e9ramique, car les gisements d\u2019argile sont ici nombreux et le sous-sol volcanique est une forge naturelle.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">L\u2019imaginaire am\u00e9rindien a son centre vivant dans la pratique pr\u00e9colombienne de l\u2019archipel. Avant que les empires coloniaux ne viennent le briser en autant de territoires s\u00e9par\u00e9s par les fronti\u00e8res nationales, l\u2019arc antillais formait en effet un archipel reliant les Am\u00e9riques que les embarcations parcouraient \u00e0 loisir. L\u2019insularit\u00e9 n\u2019est donc pas une fatalit\u00e9 g\u00e9ographique mais une construction politique. C\u2019est dire que la Martinique est une \u00eele d\u2019Am\u00e9rique, et le Mexique voisin une terre am\u00e9rindienne.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Le d\u00e9sir imaginant qui relie l\u2019Am\u00e9rique des deux bords se fracasse de nouveau contre la logique de l\u2019identit\u00e9. \u00ab\u00a0La tentation du mur\u00a0\u00bb, comme la nomment Glissant et Chamoiseau, isole le Mexique de l\u2019Am\u00e9rique.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">C\u2019est lorsque les deux bords ne communiquent plus que fermente le fantasme de l\u2019autre bord, qui n\u2019est plus un rivage mais un mirage. La fa\u00e7ade d\u2019or est une vitrine qui cache dans son dos des corps prisonniers de la terre, en train de s\u2019extirper ou arr\u00eat\u00e9s dans leur \u00e9lan, on ne sait, et comme n\u00e9s d\u2019un cauchemar de Michel-Ange. Les corps s\u2019empilent pour former une d\u00e9risoire \u00e9chelle d\u2019\u00e9paules adoss\u00e9e vers l\u2019autre c\u00f4t\u00e9. Les noces barbares de l\u2019espace et du temps ont engendr\u00e9 un espace irr\u00e9versible pench\u00e9 sur le vide de l\u2019Eldorado.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Certains jours l\u2019art ne doit pas craindre d\u2019affronter ses monstres. A-t-on id\u00e9e de cette monstruosit\u00e9\u00a0: l\u2019argile p\u00e9trie en barbel\u00e9 dor\u00e9\u00a0? Les quelques liquidit\u00e9s d\u2019argent d\u2019ici r\u00eavent de se m\u00e9tamorphoser en vermeille en se mariant \u00e0 tout l\u2019or de l\u00e0-bas. Le rouge dit peut-\u00eatre le prix de ce r\u00eave. Le bleu est faussement a\u00e9rien. Il plombe par avance tout franchissement en lui assignant les cordonn\u00e9es p\u00e9riph\u00e9riques du bleu outre-mer plac\u00e9 sous son centre de tutelle. Ce que vient confirmer le noir, qui est d\u2019\u00e9b\u00e8ne. L\u2019or, lui, est de fa\u00e7ade.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Le c\u00e9ramiste n\u2019emprunte pas ces couleurs \u00e0 la palette du peintre mais directement \u00e0 la terre et \u00e0 ses pigments, aux min\u00e9raux et \u00e0 leurs veines. Si les mati\u00e8res, l\u2019or et l\u2019argent, sont en elles-m\u00eames des valeurs, apr\u00e8s le passage du feu du c\u00e9ramiste elles n\u2019ont plus que le clinquant d\u2019un vernis.<\/span><\/p><p><a name=\"_GoBack\"><\/a><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> L\u2019identit\u00e9 de l\u2019\u0153uvre reste elle ind\u00e9cise, \u00e0 la lisi\u00e8re de l\u2019objets et du corps, de la c\u00e9ramique et de la sculpture, entre avorton de r\u00eave et mati\u00e8re f\u00e9conde.
